Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity Sister Mary Ann Spanjers and Sister Julie Ann Sheahan continue Part Three of their recent discernment sojourn with young adults focusing here on Texas and Oklahoma.
Texas
This third visit to St. Francis of Assisi parish, Frisco Texas in the Dallas diocese, was a highlight thanks to the 70+ young adults who attended the presentation/reflection “The Eucharist, From Adoration to Action.” Sister Mary Ann along with Sister Julie Ann enjoyed time of informal gathering with many of the young adults before the presentation. Young Adult ministers, Tim and Maria were exceptional in their communications and organization. Appreciation was expressed by many who attended as is evidenced in one of the comments, “I appreciated reflecting on what my heart is centered on and my talents which Jesus wants me to share with others.” (More pictures capturing the spirit of the evening are forthcoming from Maria. Find Sister Mary Ann in the crowd.)
Oklahoma
A 5:00a.m. departure from the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth Retreat Center enabled the sojourning Sisters to connect with a young discerning women at St. Bernard Parish, Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was a blessing to be able to have in-person connections in such a beautiful historical Church! We continue to sow the seeds for tomorrow.
On the home stretch, St. Louis, Missouri here we come. To be continued…
