Action Alert: Urge Governor DeWine to Veto SB 63

Ohio lawmakers have passed SB 63, which would ban the use of Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) in Ohio communities.

Ranked Choice Voting allows voters to rank candidates in order of preference, helping ensure that winners receive broad support from voters. Supporters argue that banning RCV removes local control from communities that may wish to use it.

Governor Mike DeWine now has the opportunity to veto this legislation.

Take ActionContact Governor DeWine and urge him to veto SB 63.

Suggested message:

Hi, my name is [NAME], and I’m an Ohio voter from [ZIP CODE].

I am concerned that Statehouse politicians are trying to ban Ranked Choice Voting and restrict communities from choosing how they conduct elections.

What happened to local control and respecting voters? I urge Governor DeWine to respect Ohio voters and veto SB 63.
