RELIGIOUS COMMUNITY MEMBERSHIP – fee varies, see fee structure, paid annually, rolling membership
Religious community membership is open to religious institutes of vowed women and men religious (e.g., congregation, province, government unit, etc.).
When such a unit joins the RFC, every vowed member who belongs to that unit enjoys the benefits of membership.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP – fee varies, paid annually, rolling membership
Associate membership is open to those entities, organizations, governing units, etc. whose mission includes religious formation.
When such an entity joins the RFC, every member who belongs to that unit enjoys the benefits of membership. The Asssociate Membership rate is $50 per person per year.
Eligibility for Associate membership is determined by the RFC. These may include, but are not limited to:
- Entities in the U.S. whose mission also includes the formation of women and men religious (e.g., Institute of Religious Formation, Catholic Theological Union; Ministry to Ministers, Oblate School of Theology)
- Entities in the U.S. whose mission includes the formation of those in associate programs of women and men religious (e.g., Mercy Associates)
- Entities internationally and regionally who desire additional English-language formation resources, articles, etc.
- General councils of international congregations who exercise leadership in their community and guide the formative program for their members.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP - $140 USD/individual, paid annually, rolling membership
Individual membership is open to individuals whose ministry includes religious formation. Eligibility for individual membership is determined by the RFC. These may include, but are not limited to:
- Individual vowed religious whose institutes are not members of the RFC
- Vicars for Religious
- Executive Directors/Directors of U.S., regional and international religious organizations
- Director/Coordinators of associate programs (e.g., Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati Director of Associates)
Benefits of membership
- Individual members receive the same benefits of associate membership (see above)
- Individual members who are vowed members of religious institutes are eligible for reduced rates for all RFC programming (e.g., ForMission)
- Individual members who are vowed members of religious institutes have access to the RFC discussion group - a national & international networking platform

The Conference facilitates a closed Facebook group for members. This virtual network is a place where formators can connect, build community, share best practices and resources, and more.
