Catholic Sisters Week offers a moment each year to recognize the lives and work of women religious across the United States. The week highlights the prayer, leadership, and service that Sisters bring to communities near and far.

At Nazareth, the Office of Mission Advancement marked the occasion by honoring four Sisters whose daily work supports the mission of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. Sister Therese, Sister Rita, Sister Linda, and Sister Luke have each given years of time and care to the Office of Mission Advancement. Their presence strengthens the work of connecting friends, supporters, and partners with the mission of the Congregation.

To celebrate Catholic Sisters Week, the entire staff of the Office of Mission Advancement gathered in Bardstown, Kentucky for a meal and time together. The afternoon offered a chance to share stories, enjoy each other’s company, and express gratitude for the Sisters who continue to serve the mission in both quiet and visible ways.

Catholic Sisters Week invites people across the country to learn more about women religious and the impact of their lives. Held each year in early March, the week lifts up the prayer, leadership, and ministries of Catholic Sisters and encourages others to recognize the role they play in the life of the Church and in service to the world.

For the staff of OMA, the day was a simple reminder that the light of Catholic Sisters Week shines right here at Nazareth through the lives of Sisters Therese, Rita, Linda, and Luke.
