“Chosen in Love to Live Christ” guided the celebration of the perpetual vows of Sisters Archana Beck, Swastica Kiro, and Veronica Soren on March 5, 2026, at Nazareth Convent in Mokama. Sisters, family members, Associates, and friends gathered in prayer and joy to witness this sacred commitment.

Archbishop Sebastian Kallupura of the Archdiocese of Patna presided at the Eucharist. In the homily, he reflected on the call to live as a disciple of Jesus. He pointed to three Gospel paths that shape the life of a disciple. To be with Jesus. To work like Jesus. To become like Jesus. When these guide a person’s life, he said, discipleship gains clear purpose and meaning.

During the liturgy, the three Sisters professed perpetual vows before God and the Community. With calm faith and joy, they offered their lives to Christ and to the service of God’s people. Their response echoed the Gospel call heard throughout the Church’s history. God calls. Disciples respond with their lives.

Congregational Leadership joined the celebration. Among those present were Sister Jackulin Jesu, President of the Congregation, and Sister Amrita Manjaly, Vice President. Also present were Sister Camille Panich, Sister Michelle Grgurich, and Sister Latika Kottuppallil, Provincial of Patna Province, along with Vice Provincials Sister Suchita Kullu and Sister Basanti Lakra. Their presence reflected the unity of the Community in prayer and support.

Prayerful Gathering Before the Final ‘Yes’

The celebration continued with a traditional dance that accompanied the newly professed Sisters to the dining hall. A festive meal followed. Young Sisters and formees later presented a short cultural program that honored the visitors and celebrated the Sisters of the day.

The Church continues to give thanks for women who respond to God’s call with courage and generosity. Their lives point to the Gospel promise that those who follow Christ discover deep joy in service to others.
