The spirit of Holi was shared during an evening celebration with members of the Executive Committee and the Sisters of the Provincial House on March 2, 2026.

Holi is a Hindu festival that marks the arrival of spring and celebrates the triumph of good over evil. Often called the festival of colors, it invites people to forgive past hurts and welcome new beginnings. Across India, people of many faiths take part in Holi as a cultural celebration that brings neighbors and communities together.

The celebration began with a short prayer service that reflected on the meaning of Holi. Through prayer and reflection, the community considered the deeper message of the festival. Holi is more than bright colors. It is a symbolic call to release negativity, seek reconciliation, and begin again with open hearts.

Following the prayer, the evening moved into a relaxed time of celebration. Sisters and committee members shared conversation and laughter.

Sister Michelle Grgurich and Sister Camille Panich experienced Holi traditions for the first time. They joined the Sisters in the custom of gently applying colors to their faces and shared in the joy of the moment.

The evening concluded with tea and refreshments as everyone gathered for conversation. The simple celebration offered time for connection and community as those present marked the spirit of Holi together.
