This past Saturday, while thousands gathered at Churchill Downs for the Running of the Roses, the Sisters at Nazareth brought that same spirit of joy and excitement to our own special celebration, the Nazareth Derby.

Sisters from Carrico Hall, the Motherhouse, O’Connell Hall and beyond came together for a day filled with laughter, friendly competition and shared delight. Each race carried its own energy as everyone cheered and placed their bets on their favorite horses, creating a sense of lighthearted unity.

In the end, Cooper Kid, ridden by Maggie Cooper, claimed the Derby victory. But the real win was the joy, connection and community we experienced together. It was one of those moments that reminds us how simple celebrations can become lasting memories when shared with one another.
