International Women’s Day was celebrated with a special gathering for the mothers of children attending the Non-Formal Education Centers in Phulwarisharif and Mokama. The celebration recognized the strength and commitment of the women who care for their families while working to provide better opportunities for their children. In Phulwarisharif, 50 mothers from five centers took part in the event. In Mokama, 70 mothers representing seven centers joined the celebration. The program was organized by the center animators and included songs, games, and short reflections on the role of mothers in family and community life. For many participants, the gathering offered a rare opportunity to spend time together, share experiences, and feel appreciated. The program also encouraged the women to reflect on their important role in shaping the future of their families and communities.

A special moment of the day was the expression of gratitude to Sr. Jane Karakunnel, SCN, who has accompanied and supported the women over many years. In Chakaram Parish, following the Eucharistic celebration, the women organized a short program to honor her and acknowledge her continued presence and support in their lives.
