International Women’s Day was celebrated at Navjyoti Center with the participation of women from different communities in a program that brought women together for reflection, learning, and community engagement.

Sanu Amatya, vice president, and Jeevankala Subba, secretary of the Nepal Nazareth Society, attended the program as special guests. The celebration began with a traditional welcome as guests were offered khada, followed by the lighting of the lamp to mark the opening of the event. Participants then observed a moment of silence in recognition of the struggles and achievements of women. The gathering continued with the national anthem and a welcome song and dance performed by the Navjyoti team. Throughout the program, the Navjyoti Center team organized a variety of interactive activities and awareness sessions. Women participated in games, musical activities, story sharing, and group discussions that encouraged teamwork and participation. Participants were also invited to share positive experiences and lessons from their own lives, creating an atmosphere of encouragement and support. The program also included experience sharing and discussions on how women can contribute to community development. Through these activities, the celebration offered a meaningful opportunity for learning, participation, and community connection.
