The theme of LCWR’s 2026 reflection book, Hope Unbroken: Journeying in God’s Promise, emerges from the 2025 LCWR assembly, where participants explored how hope continues to shape our response to the movements of the world, the church, our nation, and our religious institutes.
In this year’s reflection book, we delve deeper into some of the insights shared in the assembly’s major presentations — particularly those that illuminate how religious life might serve the world in these complex times. The assembly evoked in us questions such as:
-
Who are women religious being called to become as the world grapples with the pressing questions of our age?
-
How are the changing realities around us shaping the ways we live religious life?
-
What might we need to release in order to serve the world in new ways?
-
What new desires are emerging for how religious life might be lived today?
From the assembly presentations, we have selected more than 40 quotations that speak to these questions, each offering insight and challenge on the theme, Hope Unbroken: Journeying in God’s Promise. Women religious leaders reflect on these quotations, drawing from their rich experiences and insights and sharing them with readers.
The reflections are accompanied by artwork as well as questions for the readers’ reflection and prayer.
The cost of each book is $6.00, plus shipping and handling. Discounted prices are available for orders larger than 10 copies. Revenue from this LCWR project helps defray the costs of the resources and programs the conference provides its members. Orders
