St. Francis of Assisi Academy in Marereni celebrated its Annual Day on July 30, 2026, with enthusiasm and joy. The event brought parents, priests, Sisters, invited guests, teachers and students together to celebrate the children’s achievements and talents.

Father Elmar and his team from Karibu Malta joined the celebration, adding to the joy of the occasion. The school expressed its sincere gratitude for their generous support. In 2024, the organization helped construct a new classroom, renovate the school buildings and provide furniture. These improvements have created a better learning environment for the children.

The cultural program showcased the talents and creativity of students from playgroup through fifth grade. Each class confidently demonstrated what students had learned during the year through songs, speeches and creative performances.

A meaningful skit about the Good Samaritan reminded everyone of the importance of kindness, compassion and helping those in need. The audience also enjoyed lively action songs, colorful Giriama and Pokomo folk dances and an energetic Hindi dance, reflecting the school’s appreciation for cultural diversity.

Parents and guests applauded the children’s confidence and outstanding performances. Their encouragement made the celebration even more special for the students and staff.

The program concluded with a fellowship meal shared by the children, parents, guests and staff, strengthening the school community’s spirit of unity.

Annual Day also marked the close of the second term. As the children begin their holiday, the school wishes them a safe and restful break and looks forward to welcoming them back for the third term at the end of August.

The celebration was a day of thanksgiving and joy, leaving the school community with cherished memories.
