“Be diligent in serving the poor. Love the poor, honor them, my children, as you would honor Christ Himself.”

Cincinnati Festival of Faiths: Standing Together for the Greater Good

The Sisters of Charity participated in the Cincinnati Festival of Faiths—the city’s largest interfaith celebration—held June 22 and 23. The gathering brought together 34 faith traditions and 13 world religions from across the Greater Cincinnati area, offering visitors the chance to learn from one another and celebrate the rich diversity of spiritual expression.

On Sunday, June 22, the main exhibition featured a labyrinth, spiritual meditations, a youth booth, delicious food, and informative sessions. Exhibitors and vendors highlighted the many faith-based and nonprofit organizations working to strengthen the interfaith community. The Sisters of Charity were among the sponsors of the festival and hosted an informational table, sharing their mission and commitment to justice, peace, and care for creation.

On Monday, June 23, S. Caroljean Willie, SC, and Becca Desai co-moderated a program titled “There’s Always Hope for Our Planet: A Lot Is In Our Own Hands.” In this engaging session, S. Cj, Becca, and participants explored the importance of sustaining hope for our Earth and the everyday actions we can take to make a difference.
