UN CLMATE CHANGE CONFERENCE COP 31COP31 will take place from 9 to 20 November 2026. Türkiye will host the Conference and Mr. Murat Kurum has been nominated as President of COP31 in Antalya. Mr. Chris Bowen of Australia will be the President of Negotiations. These conferences take place every year and are the world’s only multilateral decision-making forum on climate change. The COP is where the world comes together to agree on the actions to address the climate crisis, such as limiting the global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius, helping vulnerable communities adapt to the effects of climate change, and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. COP31 will bring together business leaders, young people, climate scientists, Indigenous Peoples, and civil society to share insights and best practices to strengthen global, collective and inclusive climate action. COP31 stands for the 31st meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), a landmark international treaty agreed in 1992, and parent treaty to the 2015 Paris Agreement. To learn more, watch this video

America is All INORIGIN: When the Trump Administration pulled the U.S. out of the Paris Agreement in 2017, more than 4,000 leaders from America’s city halls, state houses, boardrooms, and communities declared “We Are Still In” and vowed to uphold America’s Paris climate commitments. In the absence of federal leadership, Mike Bloomberg and then-Governor of California Jerry Brown stepped in to launch America’s Pledge, an initiative that quantified the climate actions of U.S. cities, states, and businesses to drive down emissions in line with the Paris Agreement goals. They submitted this pledge to the United Nations on behalf of the U.S. America Is All In champions a whole-of-society mobilization that can deliver the transformational change that science and society demand. The network continues this work despite the U.S.’s withdrawal from the Paris Agreement.
