The first gathering of the CPPS Family, entitled “Towards an experience of the spirituality of the Most Precious Blood,” was held on April 18 and 19 at the Major Seminary of Cáceres (Spain). The goal was to share the spirituality of the Precious Blood, so that lay people may know that they are saved not at the price of gold or silver, “but by the precious blood of Christ” (1 Peter 1:19), and to form a “family” that deepens its life in this spirituality.

27 people participated, including lay people, Missionaries of the Precious Blood, and Sisters Adorers of the Blood of Christ, from various communities in Spain and Portugal.

Three topics were developed: the first focused on the witness of conversion of life and unity in charity; the second addressed the challenges of the mission in current times and the desire to have “a thousand languages” to proclaim the Gospel; the third focused on community life, mission, and spirituality, drawing from the teachings of St. Gaspar del Buffalo and St. Mary de Matias.

It was also an opportunity to develop an experience of community life, a pillar of the way of life of the Missionaries and Adorers, which enriches those who share this way of life, in prayer, in the Eucharist, at the meal table, and in moments of fellowship.

The 2nd Meeting is already being planned!
