St Thomas More Young Adult Group, Amore, Oceanside, CA invited Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity, Sister Mary Ann Spanjers, OSF and Franciscan Friar Br Antonio Luevano, OFM of Our Lady of Guadalupe Province to share the presentation, The Eucharist From Adoration to Action —Franciscan Spirituality with them. Associate Pastor Fr. Evan Bui, young adult leader David Contreras and all who attended welcomed them with the warmth of Southern CA! The desire to grow in love with Jesus in the Eucharist and the commitment to living the Catholic faith was palpable.
Comments from some of the Young Adults who were present for the event follow:
“I appreciated the questions that were integrated into the talk; it made me feel apart of the talk. I also liked the young adult bit of the videos. They were super relatable.”
“I appreciated how organized and stream-lined the presentation was. But beyond that, sharing your personal stories and how you both are experiencing Jesus in and through the Eucharist gave me something to ground myself in. You both brought passion and personality that shows in how you presented.”
“I loved the call to live the Gospel life.”
“Using Franciscan Spirituality and Theology to understand why Mass is important.”
