Hello! My name is Sydney Langille, and I am working as an intern at Sisters of Charity of Nazareth Archives. I am excited to begin learning more about archives as a whole, especially with the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth collections. While listening to Kelly, Veronica, and Michael, I have already become acquainted with what I expect is just the tip of the iceberg at the Heritage Center. There is so much fascinating history here, both among the grounds and Heritage Hall, as well as through countless stories that span hundreds of years.

I have come to Nazareth from Minneapolis, Minnesota, where I’ve recently moved, but I am from Lake Mills, Wisconsin. There, I attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison and currently attend the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee virtually in pursuit of my master’s degree. In college, I’ve spent time volunteering at other religious archives as well as scanning film negatives from archaeology digs from Turkey. Through these experiences I have found a passion for archives.

During my free time, I enjoy taking walks and hikes outside, so it’s wonderful to see there are lovely grounds to peruse here. I also love to read, work on crafts, and spend time with my friends and family.

Thank you for having me at Nazareth; I am looking forward to spending my summer here!
