During this 800th anniversary year of the death of St. Francis of Assisi, Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity invite women who may be considering a call to Consecrated Life on October 2-4, 2026. Arrive on Friday evening @6:30 PM or earlier for Evening Prayer and a meal. On Saturday there will be time to recall St. Francis life through prayer times and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Saturday evening celebrate the Transitus of St. Francis. It is a special service commemorating the death of the Poverello of Assisi on the eve of October 3, 2026. Indeed, the Franciscan Family remembers the passing of our beloved founder each year. Parts of the service resemble the Easter Vigil with candles and procession. Through readings from Scripture and Franciscan sources, the saint’s story is told and the congregation participates in the action.
