Below is a message from Saint Luke Institute President & CEO, Fr. Patrick J. McDevitt, CM, PhD:

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

At the end of May I give thanks to God for reaching a beautiful milestone in my ministry as I celebrate the 40th anniversary of my priestly ordination.Family, friends and parishioners will join with me for a special celebratory Mass at 10 am (Central Time) on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 1010 W. Webster, Chicago, Illinois, 60614. It was at this very parish I was ordained, and I return there for this celebration with deep gratitude to God for the gift of the priesthood, and for the many people who have supported me along the way – in large and small ways.

If you are in the Chicago area, I hope you can join me in person for this special liturgy. You may also join in this celebration via the St. Vincent de Paul Mass livestream which will be open to all. Access to the livestream and other details are available on the SLI website at SLI.org/live. You may check your own time zone for the time of the livestream here.

In commemoration of this anniversary, and in lieu of gifts, I invite you to consider supporting my ministry at Saint Luke Institute, and especially to consider becoming one of our new “Partners in Healing” through a recurring monthly or quarterly donation.Through this ministry, I am privileged to participate in the healing and support of priests, sisters, deacons, and brothers who serve the Church. See below for two examples of the difference SLI makes as we continue our nearly 50 year mission of ‘healing the healers.’

Your prayerful remembrance and support at the liturgy, on the livestream, and through a gift to SLI would be a very meaningful way to mark this special occasion in my life and ministry. Thank you to all those who have already gifted me their friendship, prayers, and support over these 40 year – and over these past 8 months at Saint Luke Institute! I look forward to all that God plans in the years to come!

Sincerely in Christ,
Fr. Pat McDevitt, CM
