The jubilee bells rang at the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth Convent of the Bangalore Province in Chandapura, as Sisters and Associates from across the province gathered for a jubilee celebration.

A jubilee marks a milestone anniversary in religious life. It honors the years since a Sister’s public profession of vows and recognizes a life shaped by prayer, community, and ministry. A Silver Jubilee marks 25 years, a Golden Jubilee marks 50 years, and a Diamond Jubilee marks 60 years.

Sister Anne Philip Gnavally (above, right) marked her Diamond Jubilee. Sister Suma Muthukattuparampil (above, middle) and Sister Sabina Mattappallil (above, left) marked their Golden Jubilee. Sister Sheeli Chinnarani A., honored but not in attendance, marked her Silver Jubilee.

The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Father John Sekar. In his reflection, he invited those present to place Jesus at the center of religious life as they continue their journey.

The celebration filled the convent, chapel, and dining hall as the jubilarians were honored and shared a festive meal with Sisters and well-wishers of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. Provincial Sister Mary Margaret Nirmala and the Bangalore Province Leadership Team express their thanks to all the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth for their prayerful support.
