The new digital platform aims to strengthen communication, promote Lasallian vocations, and share the District’s educational mission with a wider audience.

The Lasallian District of Congo-Kinshasa has officially launched its new website, www.lasallecongo.org, marking an important step in strengthening its digital presence and sharing the Lasallian Mission with the wider Lasallian Family and the public.

The initiative reflects the District’s commitment to making its life, mission, and educational ministries more accessible, while creating new opportunities for communication and engagement among Brothers, Lasallian Partners, students, alumni, and friends of the Institute.

Inspired by the message of Lasallian Reflection No. 12, which reminds Lasallians that “sometimes the deepest lessons are not taught in the classroom but discovered along the way,” the website seeks to extend the reach of the Lasallian Mission beyond the walls of schools and religious communities.

The new website features seven main sections that introduce visitors to the life and mission of the District. These include its history and identity, Lasallian vocations, communities of Brothers, educational ministries, Lasallian groups and associations, publications, and contact information. Through these sections, visitors can learn more about the District’s activities, its commitment to education, and the people who continue to advance the mission of Saint John Baptist de La Salle in Congo-Kinshasa.

The development of the website was led by Brother Dieu-merci Sambiaku FSC, Chair of the District’s Website Committee, who also served as its developer. Br. Dieu-merci is currently completing his Master in Information Technology (MIT) at De La Salle University-Dasmariñas in the Philippines. His work on the website reflects the practical application of his studies in information technology in support of the Lasallian Mission.

The project was made possible through the collaboration of Brothers, Lasallian Partners, and students who contributed their experiences, ideas, and resources. While some sections remain under development, additional content and updates will be introduced in the coming months.

With the launch of this digital platform, the District hopes to strengthen connections within the global Lasallian Family, encourage greater awareness of Lasallian vocations, and highlight the educational and pastoral work being carried out in Congo-Kinshasa.

The District invites Brothers, Lasallian Partners, students, alumni, and friends of the Institute to visit www.lasallecongo.org and share the website with others.

Through this initiative, the District reaffirms its commitment to making the Lasallian Mission more visible and accessible, continuing the legacy of Saint John Baptist de La Salle in service of young people, especially those most in need.
