Volunteers Bring Christmas Cheer to Nazareth
In recent days, volunteers gathered at Nazareth to begin decorating the Motherhouse for Christmas. Their work helped set a welcoming tone for the season, and the Sisters are especially grateful for the support of the grounds department and all who assisted.
Sister Luke shared, “Sisters are grateful for every person who came to help decorate. The care shown in each task brought a simple joy to the Motherhouse. It is good to see people gather at Nazareth, lend a hand, and brighten the days of the Sisters as we enter the Christmas season.”
In the courtyard and at the front of the Motherhouse, Bea Hall, Melanie Russell, Sylvia Jeffers, Sister Luke, Kathy Weatherford, and Sister Tonya placed greenery and lights that now greet visitors and Sisters alike. All are invited to stop by and see the decorations. The lights brightened the space, and the volunteers did the same as other Sisters watched with smiles.
Inside Carrico Hall and O’Connell Hall, teachers from Presentation turned framed paintings into wrapped gift boxes. Maria Jones, Olivia Atkinson, Johna Fortener, and Sister Amina Bejos carried out this project to add an extra touch of Christmas cheer to the ambiance of the Motherhouse.
The Sisters extend their thanks to each volunteer. Their help has brought order, color, and good cheer to Nazareth as the Christmas season begins.
