The Missioning Service for Misty Musk was held today (December 2) at Mass in St. Vincent’s Church. Misty, who previously served as the Guest Services Assistant, has been named the new Director of the Nazareth Retreat Center. The Western Province Leadership Team led the Missioning Ceremony, which included lighting the missioning candle “as a sign of God’s presence with you as you carry out the mission of Nazareth Retreat Center.” Staff and volunteers of Nazareth Retreat Center pledged support to Misty as she provides leadership to this sacred ministry. The ceremony ended with a blessing and a song from all present.
The Nazareth Retreat Center also recently welcomed Courtney Riggs as the new Guest Services Coordinator.
Nazareth Retreat Center was founded in 2009 in the 200+ year old tradition of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. We are a non-profit ministry dedicated to providing opportunities for peace, prayer, and reflection to all in a beautiful, sacred, and historic setting. We are located just outside of Bardstown, Kentucky; mere minutes away from My Old Kentucky Home State Park, Bardstown Main Street, Bernheim Forest, the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, and the historic “Holy Land” of Kentucky.
