For the last two weeks over 100 women and men religious have joined us virtually for this year’s Orientation to Formation (OTF) program. They've joined us from all over the world, from Kenya and Australia, and Norway and Canada, just to name a few of their home countries. They have become a global learning community! Joining our facilitators Mary Pat Garvin, RSM, PhD and Paul Michalenko, ST, PhD, their program has included communal prayer and reflection, input and presentation, and both large and small group interaction.
We are elated so many chose to join this year’s program and know it will bear much fruit in our respective congregations and the greater Church and world.
As their learning journey continues, please join us in holding them in thought and prayer. May their connections, sharing of best practices and resources, and learning and dialogue be catalysts for hope and transformation.
Finally, know of our continued gratitude to all those whose support enables the Conference to offer these types of opportunities. We are particularly grateful to the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati whose foundation provided a grant for the curriculum revision that resulted in this new format for the OTF program. It is only through this trust and assistance that we’re able to create courageous spaces for learning and growth.
