In late December the Conference's Board of Directors appointed Dr. Ryan Hoffmann, DMin as the organization's next Executive Director, effective immediately.
Dr. Hoffmann has spent his professional career working with women and men religious from a variety of congregations. He's worked at the RFC the past 6 years, overseeing marketing and communications, membership, and the biennial national Congress. Prior experience includes roles at Loyola University Chicago, Catholic Theological Union, and Giving Voice.
Dr. Hoffmann received masters degrees in Higher Education Administration (Iowa State University) and Spirituality (Loyola University Chicago). He went on to earn a Certificate in Executive Leadership from McCormick Theological Seminary (2018) and an Ecumenical Doctor of Ministry from Catholic Theological Union (2020) with a concentration in Educating for Witness.
Areas of interest include spiritual formation, emerging ecclesiologies, Christian anthropology, and the intersections of faith and justice.
Ryan grew up in Iowa and where he attended St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Walnut and graduated from St. Albert Catholic High School in Council Bluffs. He finished undergraduate studies at the University of Northern Iowa (go Panthers!) where was very involved at St. Stephen the Witness Catholic Student Center. During graduate studies at Iowa State, Ryan served as a Campus Ministry intern at St. Thomas Aquinas Church and Catholic Student Center before moving to Chicago for work at Loyola University Chicago.
