A Different Kind of Congress
We know that attending a national convening is an investment—of your time, your energy, and your budget. That’s why we’re working hard to make the 2027 Congress as accessible as possible:
- Affordable registration: Our partnership with the MCC, a nonprofit organization itself, reflects our shared commitment to service and stewardship—helping us keep costs reasonable without sacrificing quality.
- Meals included: We’ve taken care of all the meals during Congress, so you can focus on connection, conversation, and rest—without needing to think about where to go or what it will cost.
- Complimentary parking: Parking onsite is completely free—no fees or expensive parking garages.
- Free shuttle service: The MCC provides complimentary shuttle service 24 hours to and from BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport, Light Rail, and Amtrak stations. Whether you’re driving, flying, training, or busing—we’ve got you covered.
A Different Kind of Program
Beyond affordability, we’re similarly excited about the development of a new program. Moving past a traditional conference format, Congress will emphasize meaningful connection, active learning, and shared resources—while incorporating rich liturgical moments that ground our time together.
- A new session format: Reimagined Congress sessions will be dynamic and participatory, inviting dialogue, peer-support, shared reflection, and active engagement.
- Daily themes for deeper reflection and integration: Each day of Congress will be shaped by a unifying theme, all within a shared vision of engaging the realities of religious life in today’s world. This approach allows the experience to unfold with intention—building connections across sessions, deepening reflection, and bringing forward practical insights and resources.
- Topical interest groups: Interest group breakout sessions (e.g., leaders, formators, affiliates, etc.) will give participants dedicated space to connect with others who share similar roles and passions, allowing for the easy exchange of practical ideas and tools, and the building of relationships that last beyond Congress.
