Juneteenth Songfest: St. Monica Catholic Church in Bardstown invites the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth and the public to the Juneteenth Songfest, Freedom’s Resurgence, at 6 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2026, at St. Monica Catholic Church, 407 S. Third St., Bardstown. The celebration will feature music from local churches and artists as the community gathers to honor Juneteenth through song, reflection and fellowship. Refreshments will be served following the event. All are welcome.

Miss Kentucky’s Teen 2026 to Speak at Nazareth: The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth will welcome Laken Blanford, Miss Kentucky’s Teen 2026, for a special presentation at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, in the Community Room on the second floor of the Motherhouse. A Bardstown native, Laken was crowned Miss Kentucky’s Teen 2026. She is the founder of The Resilience Project, an organization focused on helping young people build resilience and navigate challenges. During her visit, Blanford will share her personal story and discuss her work through The Resilience Project.

The UN & You: The Sisters of Charity Federation at the United Nations has published the June 2026 issue of The UN & You. This edition highlights the nuclear crisis, the High-Level Political Forum and the Committee of Religious NGO annual meeting. To read the June issue, click here.

SCN/A Vacation at Camp Maria: Aug. 12-20, 2026, you are invited to join the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth and Associates for a time of prayer, rest, and renewal at Camp Maria Retreat Center in Leonardtown, Md. The SCNs and Associates vacation runs Aug. 12-20, 2026. The cost is $300 per person and includes meals. Register online at campmaria.org or mail this flyer with payment.

Celebrate the Journey: Join the Office of Mission Advancement on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, for Celebrate the Journey. Celebrate the Journey will bring together donors, friends, Associates, Volunteers, and community members to celebrate the wonderful work of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. It will begin at 10:50 a.m. with Mass in St. Vincent de Paul Church, followed by a luncheon at noon and a short presentation. Immediately following the lunch, guests are invited to join Nazareth experiences. More details will be shared closer to the event date.
