Gail Collins, SCN: Gail Collins, SCN, 87, was born July 29, 1938, in Brighton, Mass. She died September 13, 2025, in Louisville, Ky. She was a Sister of Charity of Nazareth for 66 years. Funeral arrangements for Sister Gail are as follows:

  • The Wake was held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, in St. Vincent Church.
  • The Funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, in the church
  • Burial will follow in the Nazareth Cemetery.
  • Services will be streamed live at nazareth.org/live.

International Peace Day — Sept. 21: International Peace Day is Sept. 21, taking place during the Season of Creation. In keeping with the theme of Season of Creation, the International Peace Day prayer will focus on Peace with Creation. A prayer service will be used to celebrate the day at Nazareth on Sept. 23. Nazareth Mission Committee Yard Sale — Oct. 3: The Nazareth Mission Committee is organizing a yard sale and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, inside Crimmins Hall. This will be open to the public. Employees who would like to donate items to the yard sale can do so by dropping them off to the room behind the switchboard between Sept. 22-24. Absolutely no clothing items will be accepted. All items must be in a box when dropped off. 

50th Anniversary Celebration of SCNs — Oct. 5: All Sisters are invited to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of religious life for SCNs Marcy Navarro and Linda Soltis on

Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Vincent Church. A dinner will follow in the Motherhouse dining room. If you plan to attend the dinner in the Motherhouse dining room and do not normally eat there, please contact either Sister Linda or Sister Marcy, who will inform Food Service.
