The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in Nazareth Convent High School, Vasai had the privilege of hosting the SCN Cultural Meet-2026 on Jan. 3, 2026. The vibrant academic and cultural event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of students from five SCN schools of the Bangalore Province. The students travelled long distances from different states to be part of the exciting exploring of the talents and interactions. The participating schools were:
Nazareth School, Banakal (Karnataka);
Nazareth School, Chandapura, Bangalore (Karnataka);
Marian Senior Secondary School, Annakkampoyil (Kerala);
St. Vincent Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Trichy (Tamil Nadu); and
Nazareth Convent High School, Vasai (Maharashtra).
The event aimed to develop confidence, creativity, critical thinking, and healthy competition among students, while also strengthening the bond among SCN institutions across the Southern states of India. Nazareth Convent High School warmly welcomed all the guests with a traditional dance and aarti, setting a graceful tone for the Inter-School SCN Cultural Meet.
The academic competitions included Declamation, Debate, Paint-a-Poem, and the General Quiz where the students enthusiastically participated in the competitions. Following the academic events, students presented vibrant cultural dances representing different Indian states, celebrating unity in diversity. In the overall, Nazareth School, Chandapura, emerged as the First Runner-Up, while Nazareth Convent High School, Vasai won the Overall Championship.
Sister Hilda, the principal of Nazareth School, Banakal, expressed her appreciation to the principal and staff of the Nazareth Convent High School for their meticulous planning and flawless execution of the program. The Vice-Principal, Ms. Carol Sequeira, proposed the vote of thanks to the sisters, staff and the students.
The programme left the participants with fond memories of an enriching and beautifully organised event. Beyond competitions and prizes, it was a meaningful journey of togetherness, where students bonded deeply and joyfully exchanged the cherished SCN values and charism through their interactions and friendships.
