Sister Mary Sharron Goller, SND February 23, 1939 – January 30, 2026Professed August 16, 1959
Sister Sharron was professed to the Sisters of Notre Dame in 1959 and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Villa Madonna College, now Thomas More University, and later completed a Master of Arts degree at the University of Kentucky. She also pursued further studies at Xavier University and received her Administrative Certificate.
Throughout her years in ministry, Sister Sharron served in numerous schools across the Diocese of Covington and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Her leadership and passion for Catholic education led her to serve as principal at Prince of Peace in Covington, KY; St. Bernard in Taylor Creek, OH; and St. Charles in Carthage, OH.
In 2001, Sister Sharron began to minister at Holy Cross High School which was especially important to her. There, she served as a special education teacher, religion teacher and grant writer. Even after her retirement in 2018, she continued to volunteer at Holy Cross for several years.
In November 2023, Sister Sharron retired to Lourdes Hall at St. Charles, where she spent her later days surrounded by the care and friendship of her religious community.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at St. Agnes Church in Ft. Wright, KY. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Rite of Remembrance at 11 a.m.
