Celebrating 180 years!
Last Friday, August 1, IHM Sisters and staff gathered under sunny skies and warm hearts to mark the beginning of a milestone—180 remarkable years of service, sisterhood and spirit. The occasion? A vibrant employee picnic filled with connection, celebration and classic summer fun.
Sizzling grills and heartfelt hospitality
Leading the culinary charge was none other than our Director of Information Systems, Mike Guindon, whose grilling skills brought the flavor and flair to the gathering. Guests enjoyed mouthwatering bites while the IHM leadership team warmly served lunch, infusing the gathering with joyful energy.
Off to the side, a festive sundae table stole the spotlight with scoops of ice cream and a rainbow of sweet treat toppings—from sprinkles and hot fudge to whipped cream mountains. It was a sugary tribute to the sweetness of the community we’ve built over nearly two centuries.
Sisters and staff enjoyed outdoor games, matching 180 years of IHM t-shirts, a raffle drawing, and gifts for all!
A legacy worth celebrating
Around shared tables and shared stories, sisters and staff reflected on the deep-rooted mission and values that continue to guide IHM. The event was more than a picnic—it was a celebration of community, compassion and continuity. Thank you to the IHM leadership for hosting this spirited gathering, and to everyone who came together to create memories as vibrant as the history we honor.
