During the Jubilee Year for Consecrated Life, Sister Maria Elke Bauman, SND Secretary General, arranged for special seating near the Holy Father and a photo with him during the General Audience.
Sister Mary Ann Culpert, SND Superior General, presented a cross to Pope Leo XIV, sharing that the Sisters of Notre Dame are celebrating 175 years of faith and service. The cross is a replica of the one that hangs in the parish church our founding sisters attended each day.
Pope Leo reminded all gathered that even the ordinary moments of our lives can become extraordinary in the light of the Resurrection.
