Nazareth Academy in Mokama organized a teachers’ seminar on the theme “Innovative Pedagogy for Today’s Learners: The 21st Century Classroom”.
The resource person for the seminar was Koel Mukherjee, an experienced professional in education, training, and publishing. During the session, she highlighted activity-based, experiential, and blended learning methods to make classroom teaching more effective, engaging, and learner-centered.
She also shared insights on communication skills, classroom engagement, and the evolving role of teachers in the 21st-century classroom. Special emphasis was placed on age-appropriate teaching methods for different stages of learning.
For foundational learners, she stressed flexible and play-based learning. At the preparatory stage, she encouraged discovery and activity-based methods with interactive classroom participation. For middle school students, she focused on experiential learning and discussions on abstract concepts. For secondary level students, she emphasized multidisciplinary learning, analytical thinking, creativity, and deeper understanding.
The seminar was interactive and enriching, and benefited 45 teachers who participated in the program.
