This week, the Opening Session of the Young Religious Leadership Development Program for the 2025-2026 cohort took place at the St. Paul of the Cross Retreat Center in Detroit, MI. National Office staff members, Fr. Frank Donio, SAC, Executive Director, Deacon Steven DeMartino, Director for Safeguarding Initiatives, and David Rohrer Budiash, Director of Programs, welcomed the cohort and assisted the Young Religious Program co-facilitators and Genevieve Jordan Laskey and Br. Matthew Kotek, FSC.

The Young Religious Program will continue with monthly online sessions covering three key areas of leadership development: the interior life of the leader, collaboration skills with community members and partners, and preparing for adaptive leadership challenges. The program will conclude at the 2026 National Assembly in Phoenix, AZ. Program participants will receive a certificate in leadership development earned through St. Joseph’s College of Maine.
