From 18 to 31 May 2025, 50 Lasallians from 22 Lasallian universities around the world will take part in the International University Leadership Programme at the Generalate of the Brothers of the Christian Schools in Rome.

This Leadership Programme, aimed at professors and administrative collaborators, is coordinated by the International Association of Lasallian Universities (IALU), and seeks to offer a formative program of personal and community growth to mentors and animators of the Lasallian Mission in various areas of higher education, also considering the efforts and possibilities of international collaboration.

By its nature, the Programme is connected with the priorities of the Institute, as well as with the Lasallian educational tradition and mission, taking into account the lines of action of IALU. It includes conferences, group work sessions, moments of prayer and interiorisation, and social and ecclesial events, such as taking part in the audience on Wednesday 21 May with Pope Leo XIV.

Likewise, Lasallian spirituality, as a different way of seeing things, and the Lasallian vocational experience, are part of the topics of deepening, as well as the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development Goals, and the educational perspective of integral ecology, in communion with the encyclical letter Laudato Si’, of Pope Francis, published 10 years ago.

Other formative topics around educational leadership for social impact and innovation, as well as leadership in the educational community from a humanistic perspective, are also part of the formation programme, as well as an approach to the services offered by the Generalate to Lasallian researchers.

According to the organising team, the International University Leadership Programme “is a great opportunity to express and experience, as a Lasallian community, that ‘everything is connected’, and that we walk ‘together and by association’”.
