Dear Sisters and Brothers, Members of the Religious Formation Conference,
Easter greetings! I hope this email finds in good spirits as we begin this Easter season. Signs of new life and growth seem to be all around us in Chicago these days. Alleluia!
We write to inform you that Sister Kathy Kandefer, BVM will step down as Operations Manager this summer. After over 8 years of dedicated service to the Conference, she is excited to pursue new opportunities in the future.
As a committed member of the Conference team for many years, she has provided exemplary constituent services as she got to know and assist RFC member communities, presenters, and organizational leadership. Her passion for providing excellent hospitality and creating an environment of welcome and inclusion has been a hallmark of her time with the organization.
Additionally, Kathy was instrumental in leading RFC’s transition from Washington, D.C. to Chicago where she oversaw the set-up of our current office space. From the many details of the move to the ongoing support of operations and staff, she has worked diligently and generously to advance the mission of the Conference and ensure program participants have a meaningful experience.
While much of Kathy’s work came behind-the-scenes, her many contributions to the work and the life of the Conference have been instrumental to its success.
We are profoundly grateful to Kathy for her many years of service and wish her many blessings in this time of transition.
Thank you, Sister Kathy, for all you have done for the Conference these past years. We look forward to seeing where God calls you next.
Easter peace,
Ellen Dauwer, SC
Executive Director
