The Association of Latin American Missionary Sisters (AHLMA), an RFC collaborator, extends an invitation to the AHLMA Mini-Encuentro (Gathering) Sept. 2, 2024 (Labor Day) at the Felician Sisters Convent in Chicago, Illinois, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The event is open to all sisters from different cultures. Translators will be available for English and Spanish.
AHLMA is working with Sister Mary Beth Bromer, CSSF, Vicar for Religious Life of the Archdiocese of Chicago, to promote this gathering. Since 2008, AHLMA has had six national gatherings and one virtual gathering during the pandemic. The first national gathering was in the Archdiocese of Chicago, where 60 sisters from 34 religious congregations participated.
AHLMA promotes a culture of encounter through the collaboration of inter-congregational, national and intentional gatherings. These create spaces for dialogue, leadership development, facilitation of in-depth exchanges and networking.
