Global Sisters Report (GSR), a project of the National Catholic Reporter Publishing Co. (NCR) announced on January 22, 2025, that it will be the new home of A Nun’s Life Ministry. IHM Sisters Julie Vieira and Maxine Kollasch founded A Nun’s Life on the internet in 2006 and led the ministry for over a decade. They were pioneers in the innovative use of emerging technologies and social platforms to build relationships and accompany people on their vocation journey. The IHM community helped shape the ministry from the start, as sisters and associates volunteered to write blog posts, appear on podcasts, and take part in live online prayer events, among others.

A main goal of A Nun’s Life has been to bring people into conversation with the centuries-old tradition of religious life, rich in insight about discernment, prayer, and spirituality. A Nun’s Life has connected hundreds of Catholic sisters with people from over 150 countries worldwide. For the future, GSR plans to build on the foundations of A Nun’s Life in particular to expand internationally.

From the start, A Nun’s Life collaborated with NCR and GSR. Julie and Max are delighted that the ministry’s relationship with them will continue. They are grateful to A Nun’s Life’s Board of Directors and executive director Rejane Cytacki, SCL, for guiding the ministry to its new home with NCR.  And they express their warmest gratitude to their IHM Community for their unfailing love and support of them and the ministry.
