The Union of the Blood of Christ with The Congregation of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, Atlantic Province, celebrated the JUBILEE OF THE MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST on Saturday, JULY 5, 2025, at the Canadian Martyr Shrine, Midland Ontario in the

Archdiocese of Toronto.  The theme of the celebration “Pilgrims of Hope in the Blood of Christ, the Life and salvation of the world” was patterned to the International Jubilee celebration in the Vatican City, Rome on July 1 of this year.

 

 

400 strong pilgrims participated in the Jubilee pilgrimage. The participants came from a diverse culture from the Italians, Spanish – Latinos, Filipinos, Africans, Canadians, Vietnamese, Chinese, Portuguese and India.

The pilgrimage was organized by Fr. Gerry Laguartilla, CPPS together with the USC Core group team. The Metropolitan Archbishop of Toronto, Cardinal Francis Leo and the Provincial, Very Rev. Luiguino Santi, CPPS also sent their Messages and Blessings to the Pilgrims and to the members of the Congregation of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood.

 

 

The celebration commenced with the Eucharistic celebration, followed by the Eucharistic Procession, adoration and benediction, anointing of the sick and the elderly, songs of Praise and Worship, and it concluded with the picnic Lunch and social. It is indeed a Jubilee, a time of  thanksgiving, a time of  healing and forgiveness, a moment of encounter and covenant and a grace filled day for all the pilgrims. Glory to the Blood of Jesus, now and forever. Amen.
