On April 11, 2025, our college of nursing, final year BSc nursing students hosted a workshop on the theme, “Building resilience, coping with stress and burnout”. The workshop aimed to identify causes of stress and burnout, recognize the signs and symptoms, the impact of it in our day-to-day life, and to use mechanisms to cope and to develop strategies to build resilience and manage.

Resource persons were from AIIMs Patna and College of Nursing, Kurji Holy Family. The Chief Guest on the occasion was the Registrar, Bihar Nurses Registration Council, and Sister Princy Mathew was the guest of honor. Resource persons discussed different ways in which one gets stressed and burnt out, and highlighted the importance of managing one’s stress through various hands-on skills and practices.

Some of the simple techniques were demonstrated, and everyone actively participated in them. There were 227 students, staff nurses and faculty from eight institutions who participated wholeheartedly. Participants appreciated the interactive sessions and practical tips. We congratulate the final year students and the entire fraternity of the College of Nursing for their hard work, perfect planning and execution of the event. The College of Nursing plans to incorporate similar workshops future to further enhance and build resilience.
