During a World Environment Day celebration at St. George School in Phudumbah Nongstoin, participants planted more than 60 plants!
Sister Lilly Luka shares:
“We had asked the children to bring the tree saplings. During the assembly Sister Anila talked about the importance of celebrating the World Environment Day. Children brought not only the saplings but also the bamboos for fencing.”
All the teachers helped in planting, and participants made a flower garden and fenced it with bamboo sticks. As part of the program, Sister Anila organized a drawing competition for the students of Class 5-8.
