“Be diligent in serving the poor. Love the poor, honor them, my children, as you would honor Christ Himself.”
St. Louise de Marillac
Let the Good Times Roll
Sisters, Associates, and employees gathered on Tuesday, March 4, for a lively Mardi Gras celebration, thoughtfully planned by S. Shirley Le Blanc. A Louisiana native, S. Shirl has brought the spirit of her home state to the Motherhouse for more than a decade. The evening featured delicious hors d’oeuvres and supper, followed by a joyful parade around the Dining Room. The festivities culminated with everyone joining in song and dance to “They All Ask’d for You,” keeping the Mardi Gras tradition alive with laughter and celebration.
Earlier in the day, the Sisters in Mother Margaret Hall nursing facility enjoyed their own Mardi Gras celebration. Along with indulging in traditional king cake, they were serenaded by the beautiful harmonies of the Merry Moores, a talented singing duo from Southwestern Ohio.
